Mukesh Pan & General Store

Mukesh Pan & General Store is right by the Bus Stand on Kumbha Marg in Sanganer. We are located directly opposite the Bus Depot in Pratap Nagar, which makes it a very busy spot for us. Because we are so close to the bus stand, we get all kinds of people coming in at all hours. Travelers, bus drivers, and local residents too. We sell pan, of course, but also general items like cigarettes, cold drinks, and some snacks for people on the move. It’s a small shop, more like a kiosk really, but we manage to fit a lot of stuff in here by stacking it high. The noise from the buses and the shouting of conductors is constant, but you get used to it after a while. I’ve been sitting at this spot for many years now. It’s a good place because there is always someone needing something on their way somewhere. We don't have any fancy seating or anything like that. People just stand at the counter, get what they need, and move on to catch their bus. Sometimes they stay for a minute to chat while they have their pan made. Jaipur summers are very hot, so the fridge for the cold drinks is very important. We keep it running all day to keep the water cool. The shop doesn't look like much, just some shelves and a small glass case for the pans.
