You can find us at Bhawani Villa on Gulab Path, which is right by Chomu House. It’s a bit of a quieter spot compared to the main markets, but we like it that way. The building has a bit of character to it. We deal with traditional footwear, so there’s often that distinct smell of leather around the place. Our rooms are filled with samples and various pieces we are working on. It’s not a big corporate setup; it’s more of a workshop feel where things are done by hand or in small batches. We sit around the main table and talk about what needs to be finished for the week. Sometimes it gets a little disorganized with scraps and tools lying around, but we know where everything is. The light in the afternoons is quite good for checking the colors of the materials we use. We take our tea breaks outside when the weather is nice. It’s a small team, and we mostly just focus on the craft and getting the details right. We don’t spend much time on fancy advertising or anything like that. Most people hear about us through word of mouth or just happen to walk by Gulab Path. It’s a steady pace of work here. We’ve been in this villa for a long time, and it feels like home to us now. Every day is pretty much the same, just focusing on the shoes and the orders we have.
