Mohini Creations

We set up Mohini Creations over at Plot No. 3 and 4 in Ganesh Vihar. It’s a bit of a quiet area compared to the main Jaipur City markets, which is nice for getting work done. We have a couple of plots joined together so we have enough room for the tables and the storage. It isn't a showroom or anything fancy like that. It is more of a place where things actually get made. We spend our days dealing with vendors and making sure the tailors have what they need. There is always a lot of dust from the fabric, and the sound of the machines is pretty constant from nine to six. We didn't start with much, just a few machines and a lot of hope that people would like what we made. Now we have a routine down. We drink a lot of chai and talk about the designs for the next week. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy with orders to worry about that. Most of our neighbors are also in some kind of trade, so there is a lot of coming and going of trucks and bikes. It’s just a regular workshop where we try to do an honest day's work. We don't have a website or a big marketing plan, we just make things and send them out to whoever needs them.
