Kaapdda A Design

Our studio, Kaapdda A Design, is located over at S-44-47/S-3 in Gees Garh Vihar, right off Vikas Path. It’s a bit of a mouthful of an address, but it’s a nice area to work in. We’ve got a couple of rooms where we keep all our fabrics and sketches. It’s usually a bit messy with threads on the floor and scraps of cloth everywhere. That’s just how it goes when you’re trying to come up with new ideas. We spend a lot of time sitting at the large tables or working with the sewing machines. Vikas Path can get quite busy during rush hour, so we usually hear the cars passing by while we work. It’s a small team here, and we all do a bit of everything. Sometimes the lighting isn't great, so we move our work closer to the windows. We’ve been in this part of Gees Garh Vihar for a while now. It feels like a good neighborhood for a design shop. We don't have a big fancy sign or anything, just our name on the door. People usually find us by word of mouth or if they’re just walking through the area. It’s not a high-pressure environment; we just focus on getting the designs right. Some days are more productive than others, but we keep showing up and doing the work. It’s a quiet life, mostly focused on the textures and colors we have in front of us.
