Mithwals Farmer Producer Company is over at B-61 in Govind Vihar, Kanchanpur. We aren't a big outfit, just a small group of us who live and work around here. We started this because we wanted to have a central place to manage our harvests. The office is really just part of the neighborhood. You might see us unloading stuff from the back of a cart or a truck early in the morning. We don't have a polished look or anything. Most of our clothes have dirt on them by noon. It's just the nature of the job. We handle all sorts of agricultural stuff, whatever the season is bringing in. Kanchanpur is a good place for this kind of work. We know most of the people around Govind Vihar, so it feels like a community thing more than a business sometimes. We don't have any big slogans or anything. We just get the work done. If someone needs help with their crop, they come by the office and we talk it out. It's a lot of manual labor and keeping track of bags and weights. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to do everything by hand, but that's fine. We’ve been doing this for a long time. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make sure our farming stays steady and our neighbors can get their goods to market.
