You can find us at 7-Sethi Sadan, which is on Park Street, just off M.I. Road here in Jaipur. This building has some character to it, it’s not one of those new steel and glass towers. Our office has been the base for Mineral Syndicate India for quite a long time. We work with minerals, which means we spend a lot of time looking at samples and talking to people from the mines. It’s a lot of dusty samples and thick ledgers on the desks. Park Street is usually crowded, and M.I. Road is always buzzing with tourists and locals, so it’s never quiet outside our windows. We don't put on a show here. It is just a place where we handle the business of buying and selling minerals. Some of the furniture has been here since we started, and it shows, but it works just fine for us. We drink a lot of chai and talk about market prices and transport issues. Dealing with earth materials is a slow and steady kind of job. We don’t have any slick brochures or a fancy reception area. If someone comes to see us, they usually sit right at the main table and we talk about whatever needs doing. It’s a straightforward way of life. The heat in Jaipur can be something else, but these old walls keep it somewhat cool inside. We just do our work and go home.
