We set up shop at Plot No. 51/60 in Piyush Nagar. It is right near Malsaya Talab in Kushalpur. The area has a lot of dust because of all the metal moving around. Dealing with steel is heavy work and our hands usually have some grease on them by noon. The pond nearby is a good landmark, though it’s not always the cleanest. We spend most of our time out in the yard or in the small office area. It gets hot under the tin roof in the summer, but we got a couple of fans that keep the air moving. People come by looking for specific sizes and we try to find what they need in the stacks. It is not a quiet business. You hear the clanging of pipes and the sound of trucks backing in all day long. We have been here for a good stretch now. Most of the neighbors know us. We don't spend much on decorations or anything like that. The walls are a bit stained and the floor is concrete. It is just a place to get work done. We drink a lot of water and try to stay organized, even when things get hectic with a big delivery. Kushalpur is a busy spot and we are just one part of it, keeping the steel moving. The road outside can get pretty muddy when it rains, making it hard for the trucks to get in and out, but we manage. We have a small scale for weighing things and it has been with us since we started. Our team is small, just a few local guys who know how to handle the heavy stuff without complaining too much. We don't have any air conditioning, just the breeze and those big fans. It is a real environment for real work. We don't use any fancy software either; a lot of our notes are still written down in big registers with blue ink. It’s just how we have always done it and it works fine for us.
