Manglam Microns

You have to travel out toward Sikar Road to find us at Bhawani Nagar, specifically at GA-77. Manglam Microns is a place that deals with fine powders, so everything here has a thin layer of white dust on it. We stopped trying to keep the office perfectly clean years ago because the wind just brings the dust back in through the window. Our neighbors are mostly other small factories and warehouses, so it’s a lot of industrial talk and heavy vehicles passing by. The building is a simple structure with a heavy iron gate that squeaks every time you open it. We spend our time checking the fineness of the minerals and making sure the bags are stitched up tight. The work is repetitive and messy, but we’ve got a rhythm down now. We have an old radio that plays local songs while we work. In the winter, the morning fog is so thick you can barely see the road, which makes the early shifts a bit slow. We keep a big water cooler near the door because the dust makes everyone thirsty. It’s a practical place for practical work. We don’t bother with fancy meetings or suits; we just wear our old clothes and get on with the bagging and loading as best as we can. Our tea breaks are usually taken sitting on the empty sacks outside while we watch the trucks go by on the main road.
