Milan Tea is tucked away at 242/3 on Parwati Marg in the Raja Park area. It’s a local spot where we handle our tea business. Raja Park is a lively neighborhood, and we’ve been part of it for quite some time now. Our place isn't big, but it’s ours. We spend our time sorting through tea and making sure our regulars get what they need. We don't have any fancy mission statements or marketing slogans. We just sell tea. Most of the people who work here live nearby, so it feels like a neighborhood business. We have old wooden shelves and a floor that’s seen better days, but it’s a comfortable place to work. Sometimes the street gets so busy that it's hard to park, but that's just life in Raja Park. We aren't trying to expand into some massive chain. We are happy right here on Parwati Marg. We know our customers by name and they know us. It’s a very straightforward way of doing things. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we have to. Most of our day is spent physically handling the tea and talking to the folks who drop in. It’s a bit old-fashioned, maybe, but it works for us. We just keep doing what we know how to do, one day at a time. We have an old calendar on the wall from a few years ago because we liked the picture. The light in the back room flickers sometimes, but we just live with it.
