Micromatic Engineering Industry

Our shop is located at C-41 in the 22 Godam industrial area. It’s a place where things actually get built. There’s always a smell of oil and the sound of lathes running in the background. We do engineering work, mostly small parts and precision pieces that other companies need for their machines. It’s not a quiet job. We spend most of the day on our feet, measuring things and making sure the cuts are exact. If a piece is off by a hair, it’s no good, so we have to be careful. We’ve had some of these machines for twenty years, and they still run better than the new ones if you treat them right. The floor is concrete and hard on the knees, but that’s the trade. We don't have a marketing team or anyone like that. Usually, it's just one of us answering the phone while trying to finish a job. Customers know where to find us when they have a problem that needs fixing. We’ve seen the industrial area change over the years, but we just keep doing what we’ve always done. It’s practical work for people who need things to function. We stay until the job is finished, even if the sun has gone down. Sometimes we forget to even check the time. There's a stack of old blue prints in the corner that we still reference once in a while. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in Jaipur, just one that people can rely on for a solid piece of work.
