Antic Vac Tours Travels

You can find us at No. 2 Kaka House Stop. It is right opposite the air office, which makes it easy to explain to people who are lost. Antic Vac Tours Travels has been sitting in this same spot for a good while. It’s a small space, mostly filled with desks and old maps pinned to the walls. We spend most of our time on the phone or looking at computer screens trying to figure out bus schedules and train timings. It can get pretty hectic when the holiday season comes around. People walk in all day asking about prices to different cities. We try to keep track of everything in our notebooks. The traffic outside the Kaka House stop is always loud, so we usually keep the door shut. It’s not a fancy travel lounge. We have a few chairs for people to wait while we print out their tickets. Sometimes the printer jams and we have to fix it while a customer is waiting. We just do our best to help people get where they need to go. Working in travel means you hear a lot of stories about where people are headed. It keeps things interesting. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot from our window here. But we are still here, doing the same thing every day. Just simple travel planning for anyone who walks through the door. It is a lot of repetitive work but it pays the bills and keeps us busy.
