Pratika Holidays

Our office is over at Vikas Nagar Extension, near Dadi Ka Phatak. It's a small place in Keshav Kunj. Pratika Holidays isn't a massive travel agency with hundreds of employees. It’s just us sitting at our desks, answering phones and trying to figure out train and bus schedules for people. Most people who come in are looking for a simple trip or help with their papers. We spend a lot of time on the computer looking at maps and hotels. It gets pretty hectic during the holiday season. Sometimes the internet goes down and we have to do everything by phone, which is a headache. We try to be honest about which places are actually nice and which ones are just expensive. We’ve lived in this area for a long time, so we know most of our neighbors. They drop by even when they aren't going anywhere, just to chat. We don't have those glossy brochures you see in big cities. We just tell you what the price is and what you're getting. It’s a lot of work making sure all the tickets are right and the dates match up. Mistakes happen, but we fix them quickly. We’re just regular people trying to help other folks get away for a few days. The office is usually open early until the evening, and we keep some cold water for anyone who stops by.
