Our place is at Plot No 79 in Nand Puri Colony, right off Hawa Sadak. It’s a busy little spot and we’ve been here for quite a while. We do a lot of metal fabrication and mechanical repairs. If you walk into the shop, you’ll see sparks flying from the grinders and pieces of scrap metal in the corners. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, but we know where everything is. We have a few old machines that still run better than the new ones. The guys here have been working together for years, so we don’t need to say much to get the job done. Hawa Sadak always has a lot of traffic, so getting parts delivered can be a bit of a wait sometimes. We just have a small sign outside the gate. Most people find us by word of mouth in the colony. We don’t do much advertising because we stay busy enough with the regular work that comes in. If a machine breaks down, we stay late until it’s fixed because we know people are counting on us. The office is just a small cabin at the front where we keep the invoices. We mostly drink chai and talk about the current projects. It is a simple, hardworking environment here at Metro Engineering. We aren't trying to impress anyone, just doing the engineering work correctly. We hope to stay in this colony for many more years. It's our home and our livelihood.
