Mansuri Departmental

Mansuri Departmental is tucked away at number 61 on Rajat Marg in Mansarovar. This part of the city has grown so much lately, but our street still feels like a quiet neighborhood most of the time. I started working here because my family needed someone to manage the daily stock. We mostly handle things like soap, detergent, packaged biscuits, and various kinds of flour. The shelves are wooden and a bit old now, but they hold up the weight of all the jars and cans just fine. I spend my afternoons checking what is running low so I can call the distributor. It’s a small shop, so if five people come in at once, it starts to feel very full. We don't have any big signs or bright lights outside, just the name on a simple board. Sometimes the kids from the nearby houses come in with a few coins to buy single pieces of candy or a small packet of chips. I like talking to the older neighbors who have been living on Rajat Marg for decades. They usually stay for a few minutes to complain about the heat or the rain before taking their groceries home. We try to keep the floor clean, but with people coming in from the street, there is always a bit of sand near the entrance. It is a practical business and we just focus on getting through the daily list of chores.
