Mahesh Dye Chem

Our business, Mahesh Dye Chem, is located on Radha Vallabh Marg. We are quite close to the Tripolia Gate here in Sanganer. This area is known for its history and the kind of work we do with dyes and chemicals. It’s a busy neighborhood with a lot of narrow streets and constant activity. Our shop is just a regular building among many others. We spend our days mixing colors and handling different chemicals for the local trade. It is not a clean job, and our hands are often stained, but it is what we have done for a long time. The smell of dyes is something you get used to after a while. We aren't a big corporation with many branches. It’s just this one place near the gate. We have a lot of regulars who stop by to pick up what they need. Sometimes we sit outside and talk to the neighbors when things are quiet. Sanganer is a tight community and everyone knows what everyone else is doing. We don’t use any fancy technology to run things. It’s mostly ledger books and hand-written notes. We just try to keep enough stock so people don’t leave empty-handed. It is a simple life and a simple business. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that. We just open the doors in the morning and do our best until it’s time to go home. The gate is a good landmark for people who aren't from around here.
