Mahaveer Stores

If you walk down Tripoliya Bazar and look for number 215, you will find us at Mahaveer Stores. This area is always crowded with people and rickshaws, so it can be quite a lot to handle sometimes. We have been here for years, and the shop has a lot of history in these walls. We sell all kinds of general items that families around here need for their daily lives. It is the kind of place where you can find anything from small household goods to basic clothing items, depending on what we have in stock that week. The shelves are packed pretty high, and sometimes it takes us a minute to find exactly what a customer is looking for in the back. We do not use any complicated computer systems to track things; we mostly just know where everything is by memory. My family has spent most of their lives in this market, so we are used to the noise and the constant movement of the bazaar. Dealing with wholesalers and keeping the inventory right takes up most of our time. We open early in the morning when the air is still a bit cool and stay until the shutters go down late at night. It is hard work, but being part of such an old market feels right to us. We just focus on keeping the shop stocked and talking to the regulars who have been coming to us for decades.
