Mahaveer Kirana & General Store

Mahaveer Kirana & General Store is located over in Mansarowar Colony on Kalwar Road. We run this shop as a general store and kirana, so we have a mix of food items and daily household supplies. It’s a convenient spot for the people living in the colony because they don’t have to go all the way into the main city for small things. We keep things like tea, sugar, lentils, and cleaning supplies on the shelves. The shop is pretty packed with goods from floor to ceiling, so we have to use a stool to reach the top items sometimes. It’s just a local business, nothing corporate or fancy about it. We know most of our customers by their first names and we often chat about what’s going on in the neighborhood while they’re shopping. Running a store on Kalwar Road means we see a fair bit of traffic, but most of our regulars are from the houses right around here. We try to keep the prices fair and the quality as good as we can get it from our suppliers. Sometimes deliveries are late because of the traffic, but we manage. It’s a lot of hours sitting behind the counter, but it’s a good way to be part of the community. We just keep doing our thing day after day, helping our neighbors get their shopping done quickly.
