Mahaveer Glass & Alluminium Works

At Mahaveer Glass & Alluminium Works, we are usually busy with the sound of cutting and grinding. Our shop is No.5 in Pratap Vihar, right on that 200 Feet By Pass. We are tucked in the middle of Niwaru Road in the Jhotwara area. It can be a bit tricky to find us if you don't know the landmark near 21 South. Glass is a tricky thing to work with. You have to be careful every single day or you get cut bad. We handle a lot of aluminium frames too. The shop is always full of scraps and long pieces of metal leaning against the walls. It gets very hot in the afternoons when the sun hits the front of the building. We keep the doors open to get a breeze. It’s a local operation, nothing too big or fancy. We have been doing this for years and our hands show all the hard work. Sometimes the traffic on the bypass is so loud we have to shout to hear each other over the machines. We don't have a receptionist or anything. If you come in, you'll see us working right there on the shop floor. We just take the orders and get to work on the pieces. It’s a lot of measuring and double-checking everything. We just try to do the job right so we don't have to redo it later. The scrap metal gets piled in the corner until we can clear it out on the weekends. It’s not easy but it is our trade.
