Madhumita Kshirsagar

Our spot is at 338 C in Sanjay Nagar, which is part of the Jhotwara area in Jaipur. Madhumita Kshirsagar is the name on all our official stuff. Jhotwara is a bit away from the main tourist parts of the Pink City, so it’s more of a real, local neighborhood. The house is a typical Jaipur style building. We have set up our workspace on the ground floor. It’s a bit cool in the winters but gets very hot in the summer months, so we have a cooler running all day. The street outside isn't too wide, and you often see cows or local vendors passing by. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything. It’s just a place where we sit and handle our daily business. There are three of us here most days. We keep things pretty simple. There’s a lot of paperwork because of the nature of what we do, and the shelves are getting pretty full. We usually have our lunch together in the small back room. Sanjay Nagar is a friendly place; everyone knows everyone else’s business. We’ve been at 338 C for a few years now and don’t really see ourselves moving anytime soon. It’s comfortable and it serves its purpose. We don't have any big mission statements, we just try to finish the work we have on our plates. It’s a decent way to spend the day in Jaipur.
