Our engineering shop is located at 5/67 Keshri Chand Choudhary Nagar, right off the Ajmer Road in Jaipur. If you know that part of the city, you know it’s always moving with trucks and people heading out toward Ajmer. Balaji Engineering has been around this neighborhood for a long time. We do a lot of mechanical work and part fabrication. It’s a noisy place with the sound of grinders and welders going most of the morning. We don't have a big corporate office; our "office" is really just a corner of the workshop with a computer that’s seen better days. The guys working here are mostly locals who have been doing this kind of engineering for years. We don't talk in fancy business terms. If something is broken, we look at it and try to fix it. That's the way we’ve always done things. The Jaipur heat can be tough in May, but we just keep the water cold and keep working. We aren't trying to be a massive multinational. We just want to be the shop people think of when they need something built or repaired properly. It’s a simple operation based on hard work and knowing our tools. We’re just regular people trying to do a good job on the Ajmer Road. We drink a lot of chai and talk about the next project. That's about it for us.
