Liberty Oriental Rugs

You can find our place at E-84 in Govindpuri, which is in the Ram Nagar part of Sodala. It’s not a commercial shop, but more of a workspace and storage area in a residential neighborhood. We have been dealing with oriental rugs here for a long time. The rooms are full of rugs of all sizes, stacked up high against the walls. It takes a lot of effort to move them around when someone wants to see a specific pattern. The air always has that smell of wool and old textiles. We don't have big signs outside or a window to show off the rugs. People usually hear about us from someone else and then they come by. We spend a lot of our time checking the condition of the rugs and making sure they are stored correctly. It is a small family business, so there are only a few of us here. We sit in the main room and talk to whoever stops by. Sometimes we spend hours just unrolling rugs and talking about where they were made. It’s a slow kind of business and we don't like to rush things. We have lived in this part of Sodala for years and we like the quiet of the street. It is a very hands-on job and our hands are often rough from handling the heavy materials. We just keep at it every day.
