Kumawati Kirana & General Store

We are located at 3 Opp. Laziz Restaurant, right across from Jhodpur Misthan in the Sodala area. Being on New Sanganer Road in Shiv Puri Colony means we see a lot of people passing through Jaipur G P O every day. Kumawati Kirana & General Store is basically a small room packed with as many supplies as we can fit. The shelves go all the way to the ceiling, so we have to use a small wooden ladder to reach the top rows. It is often hot during the afternoons, so we keep a small fan blowing near the counter to stay cool while we work. We sell the usual stuff like lentils, rice, and snacks. Sometimes the delivery guys struggle to find a spot to park because the road is always so packed with bikes and autos. We know most of our customers by their faces since they live just a few streets away. It is not a quiet place, especially when the restaurant across the street gets busy in the evenings. We spend time weighing out goods and tying up bags with plastic twine. There is a bit of a clutter behind the counter with all the ledgers and spare pens we use. The paint on the walls is a bit faded, but it doesn't matter much for a grocery shop. We just keep things moving and make sure the biscuits aren't crushed under heavier items. Every day is the same routine.
