Kota Literature House

You can find Kota Literature House over in Jhotwara, specifically in the K K Pura area. It is a quiet little spot compared to the busy markets nearby. The shop is mostly just rows of books and papers stacked on metal shelves. It has that specific smell of old paper and ink that you only find in places like this. I spend most of my day organizing the stacks or helping someone find a specific title they heard about. We do not have a computer system to track everything, so I mostly rely on memory to know what is in stock. Sometimes the piles get a bit too high and I have to move things around just to make a path to the back. It is not a modern bookstore with coffee or fancy chairs; it is just a place for people who want something to read. The neighborhood kids sometimes come in to look at the school books, and older folks stop by for the local newspapers. The fan on the ceiling squeaks a bit when it is on high, but you get used to it after a while. K K Pura is a busy residential spot, so there is always someone walking by the window. I like to sit near the door where there is a bit of a breeze while I wait for the next person to come in.
