People know us here at No-82 in Chaura Rasta mainly because we have been around for a while. It is a busy street, as anyone who lives in Jaipur knows. The traffic outside is always loud, and sometimes it gets hard to hear people talking inside. We have stacks of books everywhere. Some are on the shelves and some are still in boxes on the floor because we haven't found a place for them yet. Most days start with sweeping the front and then dusting the rows. It is a lot of work since the street gets so much dust from the vehicles. We don't have a big system or anything like that. If you ask for something, we usually know where it is tucked away, even if it looks like a mess to someone else. Some people come in just to escape the sun for a bit. We don't mind that. It is just a regular shop where we try to keep things moving. Sometimes the inventory is a bit behind, and we have to tell people to come back next Tuesday. That is just how it goes in a place like this. We drink a lot of tea while we work and talk to the neighbors. It is not a fancy place, just a book company on a very busy road. We do our work and go home when the sun goes down.
