Our office at Bafna Publication is right in the middle of the hustle at Chaura Rasta in Jaipur. If you're looking for us, we’re at Plot No 260, which is very close to Manish Fruit Stall. That fruit stall is actually a great landmark because this street gets incredibly crowded with people and cycles all day long. We’ve been publishing books here for a long time now. It’s a bit of an old-school operation. We spend most of our hours surrounded by stacks of paper, proofs, and ink. There’s always that specific smell of fresh print in the air, which you get used to after a few days. The office isn't what you'd call modern. We have old wooden desks and shelves packed to the ceiling with various titles we’ve worked on over the years. It can get a bit noisy with the street sounds coming through the windows, but that’s just life in Jaipur's main markets. We handle everything from the initial typing to the final distribution from this spot. It’s a lot of work for a small group, but we manage. Sometimes we take a break and grab something from the stall nearby. It’s not a fancy corporate life, but we like being part of the history of this road. People know where to find us when they need something printed or want to check out our latest books. It's just a steady daily grind.
