Koco - Womens Wear Couture

The shop is over at No. 20 Vashishta Marg in Gom Defence Colony. Vaishali Nagar is a nice area and we have been set up here for a bit now. Koco is basically where we spend all our time working on women's wear. It is not like those big malls where everything is exactly the same on every rack. We deal with couture, which sounds fancy, but mostly it just means we spend a lot of time pinning fabric and making sure things fit right. The street outside can get a little crowded with cars but inside it is mostly quiet except for the sewing machines. We have a few racks of things we have finished lately. Sometimes customers come in with an idea they saw somewhere and we see if we can make it happen. It is hard work and my back usually hurts by five o'clock. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything. We just have our sewing kits and our fabric rolls. If you are around Vashishta Marg, you can usually spot us. We are not trying to be the biggest brand in the city. We just want to make clothes that look decent and feel okay to wear. A lot of the ladies from the colony stop by just to chat about what is new. It is a small operation but it keeps us busy enough.
