Khushi Nagra Palace

Khushi Nagra Palace at 56 Hawa Mahal Road is a place we've looked after for a long time. Being so close to the Hawa Mahal means there are always crowds outside, and the traffic noise is just part of the background now. The building is old, and it has that specific smell of stone and history. We spend a lot of time cleaning the floors and making sure the rooms are ready for whoever is coming to stay or visit. It’s not a modern glass building; it’s more traditional with thick walls that stay cool even when the sun is beating down on the road. We don't have a big marketing department or anything. Most people just see the sign while they are walking towards the monument and decide to stop in. The furniture is simple and sturdy, nothing too fancy that you'd be afraid to sit on. We handle all the chores ourselves, from changing the linens to checking the plumbing when something goes wrong. Sometimes we sit on the steps in the evening just to watch the people go by. It’s a busy life but it’s straightforward. We keep a ledger for the names and dates, and we don't bother much with social media. If you're on Hawa Mahal Road, you can't really miss the place. We just try to keep it decent and functional for everyone who comes through.
