Khandelwal Watch Co

We have been here at Jat Ke Kuwa Ka Rasta in Chandpole Bazar for quite some time now. Khandelwal Watch Co isn't a fancy place with glass walls or anything, just a regular shop where we deal with all kinds of watches every day. People from around the neighborhood stop by when their wristwatches stop ticking or if they need a new strap. Sometimes it gets really crowded in the lane, especially during the festive seasons, but we just keep working at our bench. We see a lot of old mechanical watches that people have kept for years and then there are the newer battery ones that the kids wear. It’s mostly just us sitting here among the tools and spare parts. The light isn't always great in the back, but we manage. You get used to the noise of the bazaar after a while, it just becomes background sound. We don't do much advertising because people usually find us just by walking past or hearing about us from a neighbor. It’s a simple way to spend the day, looking at small gears and making sure things are running right. Often, someone will come in just to ask the time or get a link removed from a metal band. We try to get things done while they wait if it is a small job. Life in Chandpole is busy but this little corner is where we stay focused on the work we have to do.
