We are located on the first floor of House Number 2244, right in Bhindo Ka Rasta within Chandpole Bazar. Khandelwal Manufacturing & Co. has been operating out of this space for a long time. If you’ve ever walked through Chandpole Bazar, you know how narrow and busy the lanes are. It’s a constant stream of people, rickshaws, and carts. Being on the first floor gives us a little bit of distance from the street level noise, but you can still hear the shouting and the horns all day long. Our workshop is full of tools and materials spread across different benches. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but we have a system that works for us. We spend our days making things by hand, mostly. There’s always the sound of hammers or machines running in the background. We don't have a fancy showroom. Usually, people just come up the stairs and find us in the middle of a job. We’re often covered in dust or grease, depending on what we are working on that morning. It’s honest work, and we take pride in the fact that we’ve stayed in the bazaar all these years. Most of our workers have been with us for decades. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the news while we work. It’s a traditional way of doing things, and we don't see much reason to change it now after all this time.
