Khandal Departmental Store

Khandal Departmental Store is tucked away in Jhotwara, over in Fathey Colony on Khatipura Road. It is a local spot where people come to get their monthly groceries. I have got most things like grains, spices, and soaps stacked up on the old wooden shelves. The shop is at G-11, and it has been here for a good while. I do not have a fancy computer for billing, just a simple calculator and a bill book. It is a bit old-fashioned, but it works for me. The floor is concrete and sometimes it gets a bit scuffed from the heavy bags being dragged around. I handle most of the work myself, though my son helps out on the weekends when it gets busier. Jaipur is growing fast, but this part of Satyanagar still feels like a small village sometimes. Everyone knows everyone. I do not bother with advertisements. Word of mouth is enough around here. Sometimes the stock runs low on certain items if the truck is late, but I always try to tell my customers when it will be back. I am just a regular person trying to make a living by selling honest goods. There is no corporate talk here, just a neighborly chat.
