Khalsa General Store

Khalsa General Store is located at 6, Dundlod House in the Nandpuri area. We are right on Hawa Sarak here in Jaipur. It’s a decent spot, though the traffic on Hawa Sarak can get pretty heavy during the rush hours. I’ve been running this store and seeing the same people from Nandpuri for a long time. It’s a general store, so we carry a bit of everything that a household might need in a hurry. My mornings usually start with checking the milk delivery and making sure the bread is fresh. Then it’s just a matter of waiting for the regulars to stop by. The shop isn't huge, so things can get a bit cramped when the new stock arrives on Tuesdays. I usually have boxes sitting near the entrance for an hour or two until I can get them sorted onto the shelves. Jaipur gets very hot, so the afternoons are usually quiet when everyone stays indoors. That’s when I catch up on some cleaning or just sit under the fan. It’s a simple business. We don’t have a website or anything like that, just the physical shop where people can come and touch what they are buying. I know most of the kids around here who come in for sweets after school. Being at Dundlod House makes us easy to find if you are in the Hawa Sarak area. It’s just me and maybe one helper most days, keeping things moving along as best we can.
