Kanhaya Lal Sharma

My name is Kanhaya Lal Sharma and I’ve been based out of Subhash Colony in Shastri Nagar for quite some time now. The address is 46, which is pretty close to the main Jaipur GPO area if you are coming from that direction. It is a quiet enough street most of the time, though the mornings get a bit loud with the milk deliveries and people heading off to their jobs. I have seen the whole neighborhood change over the years. We used to have more open space and trees, but now every corner has something going on. My place isn't big at all. It is just a single room and a small back area where I keep all my tools and old papers. I don't really do much in the way of advertising. People usually find me through someone they know or a family member. I think that is better anyway because then you already know who you are talking to. Sometimes I stay late if there is a lot to catch up on, but mostly I try to wrap things up so I can take a walk around the colony. My family has been in Jaipur for generations. Being near Shastri Nagar makes it easy to get anywhere in the city, even though the traffic near the GPO can be a real headache in the evenings. I just keep things running. It is not a big corporate thing, just me doing my job every day.
