Kalanidhi Sarees

Our shop, Kalanidhi Sarees, sits at 721 Mahaveer Nagar, right across from the Ayyappa Mandir on the bypass. It’s a convenient spot because people see us as they go to the temple. The road outside can get quite loud with all the traffic heading toward the bypass. We have been here for a while, selling different kinds of sarees. We aren't a big chain or anything. It’s just a family-run place where we keep the shelves stocked with whatever is in demand. Some days are very busy, especially during the festival months, and we barely have time to sit down for a meal. Other days, we just sit and fold sarees that customers looked at but didn't buy. It takes a lot of folding to keep the place looking even halfway decent. We have some old chairs for people to sit on while they look at the patterns. The tea stall next door is where we get our morning break. It’s a simple routine. We check the stock, talk to the wholesalers, and help whoever walks through the door. The light in the shop is a bit yellow, so we often tell people to look at the fabric near the doorway. It helps them see the true shade of the silk or cotton. We don’t use any big computers or fancy systems. Everything is written down in a ledger. It works for us and we’ve been doing it this way for years without much trouble.
