K. D. Creations

Finding us inside Mal Pani Bhawan can be a little tricky if you haven't been to Purohit Ji Katala before. It’s right in the middle of Johari Bazar, which is always packed with people and rickshaws. K. D. Creations is where we spend most of our days, surrounded by heaps of fabric and different designs. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It's just a workspace where we get things done. Most of the time, the tables are covered in scraps and thread because we're always in the middle of a project. We don't really follow the latest trends from big magazines; we just make things that people in the neighborhood like to wear. Some days are slow, and we just sit and drink tea with the other shopkeepers nearby. Other days, we can barely keep up with the orders. It’s a bit of a maze getting here, but once you’re inside the building, just ask for us. We’ve been at this address for a long time. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, and the fan makes a bit of noise, but it’s our space. We focus on the work itself rather than how the shop looks. We've seen the market change a lot over the years, but we just keep doing what we know. It's just a regular local business trying to keep things moving.
