Javed Engineering Works

We are located at number 75 near the Bajri Mhandi Puliya. It’s right on the 200 feet bypass in Pachyawala. Being near the bypass means it’s always dusty and there are big trucks roaring past all day long. We do general engineering work, which basically means we fix whatever metal stuff people bring to us. We have some heavy lathes and welding machines that have seen a lot of use over the years. It’s not a clean place; there’s grease and iron filings everywhere. We usually start the day early before the sun gets too high because the shed gets like an oven by two o'clock. Most of our customers are locals or people working on the big construction projects nearby. They bring in broken shafts or frames that need a quick fix. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room; people just stand around and watch us work or go get a tea nearby. It’s a small team, just me and a couple of helpers. We’ve been in this same spot for a long time and everyone in the area knows where we are. We just do the job, take the payment, and move on to the next thing. It’s hard on the back, but it’s the work we’ve always done and we're good at it. Some days are slower than others, and we just spend that time cleaning the tools or organizing the scrap pile. Javed Engineering Works might not be a big name to some, but to the people around here, we're just the place that gets it fixed.
