We are easy to find in Talera. We are at Sirajuddin’s place, he’s the son of Jamaluddin. The landmark everyone uses is the Aramachine—the saw machine—near the Madina Masjid. It’s a very specific part of Jamitpura. You can hear the saw working during the day, which is quite loud. Our office is right there in the middle of it all. It’s a very active area. We are a group of progressive farmers, so we spend our time talking about how to improve things. The room we use is simple. We have a couple of benches and a lot of files. The masjid is very close, so we hear the calls for prayer throughout the day. It’s a tight-knit neighborhood where everyone helps out. We don’t have any fancy marketing. We just talk to the people who live and work around Talera. Most of us have dirt under our fingernails because we’re farmers first and business people second. The office is just a place to keep the books straight and meet up. Sometimes we have tea while sitting near the saw machine. It’s a bit dusty, but that’s just how it is here. We focus on the work and the crops. Sirajuddin is usually around if anyone has questions. We just try to keep moving forward together in our little corner of Jameetpura. It is hard work but we enjoy it.
