Jaipur Jyotish

My office is located over in Mansarovar, right at the corner where Kiran Path and Pukhraj Path meet. It is a busy residential area, and most of the people who come to see us are just neighbors from around the block. Jaipur Jyotish has been at this address, 34 86, for a few years now. I usually sit at the desk with my charts and books while the ceiling fan hums overhead. It gets a bit hot in the summer months, but we keep the windows open. People come in when they have things on their minds, maybe about work or their kids' schooling. We don't do anything flashy here. There are no big signs with neon lights. Most people find us just by walking past or hearing about it from a cousin. I started doing this because I liked the math behind the stars. It takes a lot of focus to get the calculations right on paper. My desk is always covered in notebooks and pens that barely work. Sometimes the chai spills a little, but that’s just how it goes. I try to keep the door open so a breeze can come through. We aren't trying to be some big famous center. It is just a place to sit down and look at what the charts say. Life in Jaipur is fast, but in this room, we take it slow and talk about things that matter to the families around here. It's just a regular house with a desk.
