Jain Kiraana & General Store. We are located on New Sanganer Road, specifically in the Raakdi area near Hatwara Road in Sodala. It is a busy corner and there is always dust coming in from the street. The shop is packed from floor to ceiling with bags of flour, pulses, and bottles of oil. Sometimes it is hard to walk through the aisles because we have so many boxes stacked up. We try to keep things organized, but it is a struggle when new deliveries come in. We sell a bit of everything, from soap to spices. Most of our customers are from the houses right around here in Sodala. They come in for small things they forgot during their big shopping trip. We know most of their names. It is not a supermarket where you don't talk to anyone. We spend a lot of time weighing things out on the scale. The lighting in the back is a bit dim, but we know where everything is. New Sanganer Road is always under some kind of construction, so getting things delivered can be a pain. We just stay open until late at night. It is a lot of standing on your feet all day. We don't have any big philosophy about it, we just run the store and hope for a good day. It keeps us busy and we like the neighborhood well enough. It's just a normal shop.
