You can find us at Shop No 1 in the Ambabari Shopping Centre. If you’re coming from the main Ambabari Road, you just need to look for the red light and take that left turn. Our shop is right there on the left side. It’s been our daily routine for years to come here, pull up the shutters, and start the day. Jaipur has its own pace, and here in Ambabari, things are usually steady. The shopping centre is an older building, so it has that lived-in feel to it. We handle a lot of different kirana items. Most of the day is spent weighing out pulses or grains and chatting with the neighbors who have been coming to us since they were kids. The shelves are packed pretty tight because we try to keep a bit of everything. Sometimes it gets a little cluttered, but we know exactly where every jar and packet is kept. We don't use any high-tech systems for our inventory; it's mostly written down in registers or just kept in our heads. The red light nearby means there's always a bit of a crowd waiting outside, and occasionally someone will hop out of their car to grab something quickly before the light changes. It’s a bit noisy with the horns, but that’s Jaipur for you. We just keep our heads down and focus on the work at hand, making sure the store stays stocked.
