Jai Laxmi Paradise

Our place is on Ayodhya Path, which is tucked away a bit in the Shyam Nagar area. It is not as noisy as the main Sodala roads, which is a nice change of pace for me. I usually get here around ten in the morning to open up. The first thing I do is check the mail and see if any new stock arrived overnight. Jai Laxmi Paradise is a name that people in the nearby blocks have come to know well over the years. We do not do much advertising because word of mouth seems to work just fine for us. The space is a bit narrow, so we have to be very careful about how we stack the boxes. I have lived around this part of town for years, so I know the shortcuts and the local people. It is a quiet life for the most part. Sometimes a stray dog will sit by the entrance to get away from the sun and I just let it stay there. Dealing with customers is usually a straightforward process. They want something, I show them where it is, and they pay the price on the tag. I try to keep the ledger updated, but sometimes I get a bit behind. It is just me and one other person helping out. We do not have a big team or anything like that. If the ceiling fan starts making a noise, I just fix it myself.
