Jai Ambay Stores

Jai Ambay Stores is located in Shiv Shakti Colony within Shastri Nagar. It’s a quiet residential neighborhood, and we are right in the middle of it. The store is basically a part of our home that we converted years ago. We sell mostly daily groceries, snacks, and some basic household items. It’s the kind of place where kids come after school to buy sweets or a cold drink. We know almost everyone in the colony. Some of the older residents have been coming to us since we first opened the doors. It’s not a big shop, so we have to stack things all the way to the ceiling to fit everything in. Sometimes I have to use a ladder just to get a bag of flour for a customer. My wife helps out in the evenings when I need to go and pick up more stock from the main market. We don't have a computer for billing, just a simple notebook where we write things down. It’s a slow pace of life here in Shastri Nagar. We keep a few stools outside for people who want to sit and talk for a bit. It’s more of a community gathering spot than just a store. We are just happy to be a small part of the neighborhood and help out as much as we can with the daily supplies.
