Jagar Farmers Producer Company Limited is a bit different because our main address is at Flat No. 405 in the Pushpagandha Residency, over at Kothari Watika. It is a bit of a climb up to the fourth floor, but it is where we handle the side of farming that doesn't happen in the dirt. We spend our time here dealing with the registration, the buyers, and all the legal stuff that comes with running a producer company. Even though we are in a residential building, our hearts are still out in the fields where the actual growing happens. We act as the bridge between the rural farms and the city markets. It gets pretty cramped in the flat when we have a few people over to discuss the seasonal plans. We have files piled up on the tables and the phones are always ringing. It is a bit of a shift from the open air of the farm, but someone has to do the office work to keep things moving. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who understand both the farming life and the way business works in the city. We talk to the farmers on the phone every day to see how the crops are coming along and what they need. It’s a practical way to manage things. We don't use any fancy management styles, just common sense and a lot of patience with all the various forms we have to fill.
