Image Tea Enterprises

Our shop, Image Tea Enterprises, is located at 100 Kishanpole Bazar. It is right in the middle of all the action. The bazar is always crowded, so getting to the shop in the morning can be a bit of a challenge with all the rickshaws and carts. We have a pretty basic setup here. We sell tea, and that’s about it. There are boxes everywhere, and we try to keep them organized by the type of leaf. Some tea is very fine and some is more coarse. We spend a lot of our day weighing out portions for customers. It’s a lot of repetitive movement, but we are used to it. The shop doesn't have air conditioning, just a couple of old ceiling fans that hum all day. We drink a lot of tea ourselves, mostly to test what we are selling. You get to know the different smells after a while. One batch might smell like the mountains and another one more like the soil. We don't use fancy packaging. Most of it goes out in plain bags or boxes. It is a humble business. We open early when the market starts to wake up and we don't head home until it gets dark. The neighbors are mostly other traders, so we all know each other. Sometimes we trade tea for whatever they are selling. It’s a good community to be a part of here in Kishanpole Bazar.
