Hotel Sinjara

Our place is at 1 Sodala Bhavanpuri, right across from the bus stand in the 302006 area. Being opposite the bus stand means we see people arriving and leaving at all hours. The sound of the engines and the horns is something you hear all day when you work here. Our building is a simple one and we don't have any big signs, just the name on the front. Inside, we have a small desk where we keep the guest book and the keys for the rooms. We spend a lot of our morning time mopping the floors because people bring in dirt from the bus terminal. The walls are a plain color and we have a couple of fans in the waiting area that sometimes make a clicking noise. It is a very ordinary place and we are just regular people trying to keep things going. We don't offer much else besides a room to sleep in and a bit of shade from the sun. Usually, it's just the owner and one or two helpers around. We check the water tanks every afternoon to make sure there is enough. The street outside has a few tea stalls and people are always rushing to catch their next bus. We have some small windows that look out onto the street. The floor tiles are a bit chipped in places but we keep them clean. We don't have a computer, so everything is written down by hand in our register. It's a simple life running a place like this.
