Hotel Samode Palace

Our hotel is out in Village Samode. It’s a bit different from being in the middle of a big city. Hotel Samode Palace has been here for a long time, and the village around us is quiet in a way that’s hard to find elsewhere. We’re surrounded by hills and old walls, and the air feels a bit different out here. The building itself is quite old, and we spend a lot of time just keeping the stone and the wood in good shape. It’s not like a modern hotel where everything is made of plastic and glass. We have to do a lot of dusting because of the dry air and the wind that blows through the village. Our days are mostly spent making sure the courtyard is clean and the rooms are ready for whoever might arrive. We don’t have a big corporate office or a lot of rules. We just know how we like things to be done. The people who work here mostly live nearby in the village, so we all know each other and their families. It’s a slower pace of life than what you’d find in a place like Jaipur. We aren't trying to sell anyone on anything special. We’re just here, and we keep the place running for whoever wants to visit. It’s a lot of work to maintain an old place like this, but we’ve been doing it for years and we’re used to the rhythm of the village.
