Hotel Neelam

If you go to A-3 on Motilal Atal Road, you will find us. We are right in the 302001 area of Jaipur. It is a very busy street, always filled with people going toward the bus stand or the railway station. Hotel Neelam is a simple building. We don’t have a fancy glass front, just a regular door that stays open during the day. The lobby is small with a couple of wooden chairs for guests to sit on while we write down their names in the ledger. We still use paper books for most things. The rooms are plain with white walls. We try to scrub them down once a week to keep them looking okay. The beds have firm mattresses because that’s what most people like. We don’t have a big kitchen, but we can make a pot of tea if you ask nicely. The noise from Motilal Atal Road is quite loud during the day with all the horns and people talking. It gets a bit quieter at night, but not completely. Most people who stay here are just passing through for a day or two. They don't need much, just a place to keep their things while they go out to see the city. We watch the street from our front step when it’s not too hot. It’s a busy life, but we like being right in the middle of Jaipur.
