Hotel Mini Mahal

Our little hotel is in Malviya Nagar, specifically in the Model Town area. It is not a giant building like the ones you see downtown, but we try to keep it decent for whoever stays here. Most of our days are spent checking the rooms, making sure the fans work and the water is running right. The lobby is small with just a couple of chairs that have been there since we opened. I spend a lot of time sitting at the front desk, watching the street through the window. Model Town is a fairly quiet part of Malviya Nagar compared to the main roads. We get travelers who are looking for a place that doesn't cost too much. Sometimes the plumbing gives us trouble and I have to go up there myself with a wrench. It is a family-run kind of place, so there isn't a big staff in uniforms. We do the laundry ourselves most of the time. The stairs are a bit narrow and there isn't an elevator, so guests have to carry their bags up. We tell them it is good exercise. I have lived in this area for a long time, so I can usually tell people where to find a good meal nearby. It is a simple building with a simple goal of giving people a bed for the night. We do not have fancy brochures or a gift shop.
