Hotel Metro

Being right here at 6 Station Road in Fateh Singh Market means there’s never a quiet moment. We are literally across the street from the ITC Rajputana Sheraton, which is funny because they are this huge place and we are just Hotel Metro, much smaller and more basic. People usually find us because they’re coming from the train station. It’s a short walk, which helps if you have a lot of bags. The market area around us is always full of people selling stuff and rickshaws honking. Inside, we try to keep things simple. We have some rooms that face the street and some that are a bit quieter in the back. The furniture is mostly wooden and has been around for a bit. We spend a lot of time cleaning floors because of all the dust from the road. The staff is mostly local guys. If you want a tea, there’s usually someone around to make one, though it might take a bit longer if the kitchen is busy. We don’t do anything too fancy here. No big brochures or anything. It’s a place to stay when you’re in town. We’ve had all sorts of people stay, from families to solo travelers just passing through 302006. It’s just a regular business. We keep the doors open and try to help people find their way around the market if they get lost.
