Himani General Store

Himani General Store is right here near the flyover on Kamani Road in the Jhotwara Industrial Area. It’s been a while since we started this place. Most people around the Factory Area Road know us because they stop by on their way home from work. The location near the Jhotwara Police Thana makes it easy for folks to find us even if they aren't from around here. We keep a bit of everything because you never know what someone might need at the last minute. The dust from the road is always there, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the shelves. It’s a busy spot especially in the evenings when the factory shifts end. We try to keep the staples stocked up like soap, biscuits, and flour. Sometimes the traffic under the flyover gets really bad, but that just means more people walking in to buy a cold drink or some snacks while they wait. It is just me and a couple of others helping out most days. We know most of the regulars by their names now. If a kid comes in for a pencil or a housewife needs sugar, we usually have it ready. There’s no fancy setup here, just wooden racks and a counter that’s seen better days. Jaipur gets hot in the summer, so the fan is always running. It’s a simple life running a shop in this part of town, but it keeps us busy from morning till night.
