Hariyana Engineering

You can find Hariyana Engineering right across from the Sindhi Camp Bus Stand on Station Road. It is a very busy area with buses coming and going all day long. Sometimes the noise from the street is louder than our own machines. We have been operating out of this spot for a good while. The shop is not very large, but we make use of every inch of space we have. There are piles of metal and old parts in the corners, but we know where everything is. We mostly deal with mechanical repairs and making small parts that people cannot find in the regular shops. It is mostly walk-in traffic from people who live or work nearby. We do not do much advertising; word of mouth has always worked well enough for us. My brother and I handle most of the daily tasks. We learned the trade from our uncle who had a similar shop years ago. The floor is concrete and stained with oil, which is pretty much expected in this line of work. We keep the tools organized on the wall so we do not lose them in the middle of a job. It is a lot of manual labor, and at the end of the day, we are usually pretty tired. But it feels okay to finish a job and see a customer leave with what they needed. We just keep our heads down and do the work that comes through the door.
